This paper presents a pedagogical experience focused on the use of sound effects for the accompaniment of reading aloud of children’s literary texts. The reflection advances towards the understanding of this experience and approaches the subject from conceptual categories such as sound effects and children’s literature, narration and creation, reading comprehension and pleasure of reading. References are incorporated from neurosciences, theories of child development and role of children’s teacher formulating proposals that promote reading skills and interest in literacy in children.
